Labor Day Weekend has come and gone in 2011. But that doesn’t mean that law enforcement personnel have stopped watching for people whom they suspect are driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In fact, many of these so-called “DUI crackdowns” will be in place this weekend as well.
Here is a list of the extra DUI patrols taking place in and around the Seattle area for Friday and Saturday:
———–
King County
Target Zero Teams will be on the lookout for drunk drivers in downtown Kirkland on Friday night. The initiative is scheduled for 8pm on September 9 through 3am on September 10.
Redmond will be the focus of Target Zero patrols on Saturday, September 10. Law enforcement agencies associated with this effort will begin about 8pm and stay out until 3am Saturday September 10.
Snohomish County
This weekend, officers will be targeting certain communities in southern Snohomish County both Friday night and Saturday night (September 9 and 10). If you plan to be driving on roadways in Mukilteo, Mountlake Terrace, Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Everett, and Edmonds, then be extra careful and keep your eyes open for these patrols. In addition, police will be extra visible in Snohomish, Monroe, and Lake Stevens.

As always, drive safely and think before you drink! If at all possible, pick out a designated driver for the evening. And avoid any driving behaviors that might suggest that you are driving under the influence. If you think you have been unfairly arrested for DUI, call our law offices as soon as you can.
