Washington State DUI Patrols For Labor Day Weekend

WSP DUI Patrols

Here is a list of the extra DUI patrols taking place in and around the Seattle area for the holiday weekend:

King County

The Drive Hammered/Get Nailed Campaign will target certain communities from Friday September 2 through Monday, September 5. As a result, there will be additional DUI patrol vehicles assigned not only to Seattle, but also to Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Newcastle, North Bend, Redmond, Sammamish, and Snoqualmie.

Also on Friday, September 2, Target Zero DUI patrols will be cruising around South Seattle and the SoDo district looking for impaired drivers.

Pierce County

As part of the Drive Hammered/Get Nailed Campaign, extra patrols will be out in force throughout the county during the entire week before the holiday weekend, and will remain deployed through Labor Day.

Also, the Target Zero Multi-Agency Patrols will concentrate on the Puyallup area beginning at 7pm on Wednesday, August 31 and continuing through 4am on Saturday, September 3.

Snohomish County

From now through Labor Day, multi-jurisdictional DUI emphasis patrols will be on the lookout for impaired drivers throughout the county as part of the Drive Hammered/Get Nailed Campaign. These include vehicles manned by the county sheriff’s office, Washington State Patrol District 7, and law enforcement agencies from 16 different communities.

In addition, from 7pm on Friday, September 2 through 3am on Sunday, September 4, officers will place additional emphasis on roadways and areas where there have been a concentration of DUI-related arrests and motor vehicle accidents in the past.

As always, drive safely and think before you drink! If you have been arrested for a DUI, call our law offices as soon as possible.
